Door glass rear stainless trim differences

I have two sets of the rear trim for the door glass.  I'm assembling my doors for the 70 RR.  Both will fit it seems but one set has the anti rattle plastic in it and the other doesn't appear to have used it and the pieces are slightly different in length. Will either work?  I'm assuming the since the channels inside the door have the plastic stops,  the anti rattle are the mating pieces.  Why the different styles?
