Heater blower motor runs with ignition switch in ON position for 68-70 Charger?

I am currently working on my 1970 Charger RT 440 4speed car that I have installed a factory AC system in from another 70 Charger that I parted out a long time ago. When I turn the ignition switch to ON position the heater blower motor starts running on low speed immediately without touching anything on the dash controls. I am able to get 3 different speeds using the fan control button, but the fan is always running at low speed with ignition in the ON position.

Is that normal?

Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

Try cycling the "OFF" switch a few times.

Hey John I tried cycling the off switch a few times and that did not work. What did work was that I disconnected the tan wire at the heater blower motor resistor and now the fan only starts running when I start pushing the FAN button in to select a speed in which it seems there are two speeds.

My fan does the same thing. Is this the fan delay circuit causing this? :Twocents:
