Yes, they are unusable.

I guess they get shrink by bad storaging under heat and humidity. Specially the door section

Sorry, I told 16 photographies... really is 32, 16 each side!

Ok, just gave the aprovement to work on this to the graphic designer.

He is still working on get UV inks and UV clear coat for the stripe, but needs to be flexible. Dunno if will be able to get it here or will need to get it imported.

It seems Napa, O'Reillys, Amazon got good options for that.

Updating. The graphic designer shop hasn't begun on the project because the owner wants his best graphic designer in his team working on it. He is getting back to job from his vacations next monday and he will assign this to him.

Otherwise I told him to use JUST UV inks, but test will be made on regular inks, althought even being UV they have some limited warranties.

I'm still working also on get the UV clear coat printed and not sprayed. The printer they have is GOOD ONE, Roland brand, but is not ready for the clear coat provision. He told me could get a friend with a newer printer ready for the clear coat cartridge.

Working and making the corrections

Neither the screen or the print made shows the real colors yet. Just working on the colors phasering.

Still needing work. Specially the front section of fender.

Man that's awesome... looking good. I'm dying to see what the final product looks like.

Nacho-RT74

well the screen and paper printing didn't show the real colors. The paper printing was laser so colors will never be the real ones

this are the first ink jet printing over a eny cheap vinyl we got around, once again still need lot of job... correct phasering and printing pattern, but colors are getting closer

I'm still worried about the printing pattern emulating the silkscreen finish. This is barelly a scale print just to show the big details to fix before go to the first real or bigger scale, so won't show the actual printing pattern

The ink was still fresh on the 1st 4 stripes row so thats why it shws like this on 1st and 4th stripes, but we didn't care because they were wrong anyway. 2nd 4 stripes rows are closer to the real colors

dark bloody red band needs to be reduced, orange/yellow band needs to be enlarged. Colr shades needs to be reduced too but overal getting closer. Next monday should be printing more samples

first 4 rows are closer to the V6K stripes, ( brownish/beige ), than to the V6R stripes... just the lighter color more "whitened" than yellowed. Once again, front fender section needs way more job.

This is exciting to see! Finally someone is taking the time to do these right!

I will be exciting just when I check the final result. So far so good we haven't found somebody with a printer able to print also the clear coat, althought there are lot of printers with UV inks around.

I'm not really sure if the clear coat is really necesary or if it was really used on the NOS stripes. Original Ink can be glossy giving like it got a clear coat layer.

allways take in mind this will be a REPRODUCTION...

Can somebody take the measurement of the stripes installed on car from front to rear, without the borderline?

And how much of the stripes folds down the doors, quarter jam and fender.

I got an idea to work better on the colors phasering working in a continuous stripe line, instead piece by piece of the stripes. Specially because the fender since they get the wheel opening gap.

If in meters/centimeter, better.

Can be solid color stripe, no need for phasering. The deal here is just the distances mounted.

Remember, without the outer line.

I will see what I can do for those measurements on my car unless someone beats me to it. I will have to work out the whole meter/ centimeter measuring thing since I don't have anything like that readily available!

25.4mm in an inch.
10mm in a cm.
100cm in a m.

For simplicity just measure in whatever units you can and post that.

Maybe just the fender section could be enough... the deal is about get the gap between front and rear section of fender. On that way the phasering could be continued there and easier to match everything

I'm not satisfied yet... took more pics of some printing last week... but haven't posted because they are about the same than the ones printed and posted here, just on a bigger scale... but honestly I'm not satisfied yet. I'm going in an hour or so to check for more

I should be able to measure my originals today. Do you want the measurements of each decal or just the overall length of them mounted on the car?
1974 dodge charger se 512 cubic inches, 3.91 suregrip

Nacho-RT74

need them mounted, that's the deal. Individually I have mines, but need to figure out the gap between both ( wheel opening ) to make a continuous phasering on colors, then fit the stripes there.

so far so good we didn't made a great progress untill yesterday. The guy working on the stripes is a very dedicated student but too young to know about the silscreen technique. He tried to match colors on screen but never considered seriouslly what I was telling him... the phasering on these stripes can't be made on continuous color sweep, but made by "halftones" like they were made with silscreen technique, where the size and gaps of the dots make the color intensity and the phasering sweep, but based in JUST 2 COLORS, the base yellow and  the dots pattern red but SAME red shadow from end to end... both are just 2 solid colors from end to end. Then also add the black dots to the darker shadows.

he was checking some videos at youtube about how to work on halftones and got some success with the experiments on this stripes ( on screen )

I'm hoping a faster progress on next days/weeks
