The ratios are the same. The 18 spline is a stronger unit.

Interesting. I obviously knew the OD versions had different ratios and assumes the Super Stock was different (like I could afford those!) but I didn't know they changed in 71 across the board. I don't think I have ever seen a Slant Six trans. Still learning new stuff... :2thumbs:
