Just search FENDER TAG DECODER, or BUILD SHEET DECODER on google and will find many options available aside the ones suggested

Or decode yourself one by one using a website data like this:
http://www.nicksgarage.com/decode/decode2.htm

Or this
http://papentastars.tripod.com/id21.html

Sometimes one code changes a bit between one year or the other, but points out to the same stuff

Don't pay $$$$$$ to get it decoded. Either post a good copy of your broadcast sheet in a new thread here or on the 71-74 Dodge Charger site, or email a good copy to me and I will work through most of it. You can find most of the info online - but most of it will be for 1969-1971 cars. Some of the option codes changed after 1971 - but most are still valid for 1974. Lines 3 through 6 on your broadcast sheet are mostly the last 2-3 digits of the part number of the item listed. I don't have an extensive part numbers listing for 1974 - but should be able to figure out a few of the more common ones. The rest of the codes on the sheet are pretty straight forward. This is something that you could do on your own with a little digging online - but let me know if you want some help, or just want me to do it. As for production numbers on 74s, I may have some minimal info - but I have yet to dig up a 74 options and accessories report yet.

Hope this helps!

So having someone like govier decode it would be nothing more than just getting a sheet back telling me what the code stands for? So for example I have N41 and N42.. N41 - dual exh w/o tips and N42 - crome dual exhst tips... is that all there is with decoding? He wouldn't tell me anything more than just that? I was told some numbers are digits in part numbers while other info is numbers used to tell the production line which part needs to be installed (but code is not actual part number)... also it is a 74.

That's how he makes his $$$.

Well, you get a nifty sheet that tells you what all the codes are - suitable for framing - AND it has his name on it. Then it might say how many cars had that particular option based on the number of cars in his database - NOT the number of cars that were actually made. Then he will charge a pretty hefty fee for this info that is available on the web if you take the time to hunt it down. And then you might get that information back in 6 months if you are lucky - since your car is a 1974 - I wouldn't count on it. There are several knowledgeable individuals out there that can help you out if you are stuck on a certain code or you need clarification on something. I would recommend getting signed up on the 1971-1974 Charger site if you haven't already. Just about any question you have on your car - they will be able to answer. Good group of guys over there - and they know the 71-74 Chargers inside and out. Good luck!

Yes, as others said, that's all, just search google images and you'll find an example.  His services were the only thing in town last millenium, this century it just takes a little keyboard magic on your own. If it means something to register your car so you can brag "I'm #112 on the list" (111 other paying suckers) then go for it.  And you can also get a "1 of 1" report (1 of 3712 auto/AC, 1 of 242 auto/while drinking a coke, 1 of 1 drinking a coke/while AC is on!). Congratulations!

Oh BTW a 74 Charger will be queued to the back as highly-optioned money cars are prioritized.  I guess you know my thoughts on this subject.

Not that I want to pay him but I do want to find out how many built with certain options. Id like to know for the sake of knowing in general plus yes I'd like to know whether the car is 1 of 1 or 1 of 50 etc. Not for gloating but for my own knowledge. Well I did start with the fender tag and I can either post up here or start a new thread.

Start a new thread, with the tag and sheet posted, and this forum will have all of it nailed in a day.  Just not the one of none stuff.  But some estimates will be made I'm sure.

Or pay GG and wait two-three years, if you're lucky.

The folks around here are smart, dedicated to helping each other, and frankly it's a sporting event for the community to decode.

Remember that Mopar didn't keep strict numbers. Depending on year, what item you're talking about, etc. it may have no info or just a percentage. With these paid services, a lot of items are only sequenced from cars that are in that particular registry.  So what good is it if only 97 cars registered but 1600 cars were built?  My sarcasm above alluded to that every car for sale or boasted about can magically be a 1 of 1, and almost every GG report I've seen breaks it down to inconsequential items to arrive at that. I'm a numbers guy, but I think it really matters if its, say, a blue gut/EW1 Hemi Charger, not a 69 Satellite.

If you want to pay for a decoding service that's your call, the gurus have definitely earned that right. Its just my opinion, but I think having a GG report is insignificant now as there are many who can authenticate a car.  No one has been blessed by Mopar as Ferd has done with the Marti Report.  Like 68X426 said, "the folks around here are smart, dedicated to helping each other," so its a good place to start (but outa respect members may help more if you give it a stab yourself first, not just "decode this for me").
