gas cap is much further forward on the Frasson Daytona

need pics of the chassis to see how homebuilt it is, cage doesn't look too professional in the above pic - any stamped VIN numbers on it?

Correct.  Without detailed chassis, interior and firewall pics, the exterior photos are almost useless.   It's not what you see on the outside that matters.    C500 plug is interesting.  Street car dash with defroster vents leads away from it a being a big time car.

does the wing hole pattern on the quarter panel look "factory" stock?

I can only imagine the excitement stumbling upon something like that. Very cool, I hope the guy can figure out some of the history.

Yes, but if it had a race wing the holes would look much different.
When I die I want to go like my Grandfather did, quietly in his sleep.  Not screaming like the passengers in his car.

:coolgleamA:  wonder what the story is was  :scratchchin:  as we all know a  lot can happen to a race car over the years , if its a real one from back in the day ,

going off track a little , seem to remember in a grandnational race on DVD , a red & yellow 69 charger with a vinyl top / or black  painted  roof  , with stainless trim & sail panel charger name plate  & side marker reflectors , gas cap was in that location , don't mean much I know  :scratchchin:  pretty sure I took a screen capture of it & posted it on here some years back , know idea what thread though   :shruggy:

**EDIT **  tried lightening & enlarging ,  :shruggy:  don't really help  :scratchchin:

The gas filler is back to clear the trunk hinge I would say.

I would think the gas filler is back that far to clear the wing braces more than the trunk hinges

That cowl has a lot that doesn't look right on it and for color it looks to be the factory yellow. :shruggy:

Used OEM dash frame? looks like part of the vin rivets are still there. But then again after many years and who knows how many backyard  racers had their hands on it.

Mine clears and isn't far back...   :Twocents:
I've never owned anything but a MoPar. Can you say that?

If anything, the race wing supports would interfere with that fuel fill location.

That chassis was probably made out of a 2nd-gen street car and was never rebodied to something later.  It's got '68-70 tidbits all over.
