Hello my Mopar B-Body brothers.  I took a video of the Hemi Charger being sold at the Ben Snobar auction.  There's a few other photos in there and some prices on what things sold for.  I have no affiliation with the auction and was just sharing so people could see what and how things went.  Post #56 on page 4 has the video....

The buyers also bought the Hemi blower motor too.  I spoke to one of the guys and they were from SD.  Seemed like a nice guy.

I also wrote down what things sold for in case anyone wants to know what a lot number went for.  Take care my friends!!!!

This thread caught my eye because I may have seen that red 70 charger in a barn without its engine.

In the early eighties, I met a guy up on the hood canal in Washington state. I was looking to buy a 4sp trans.

This guy had 13 hemi engines packed in on shelves and took me on a tour to show me some of the cars they came out of.  One of those cars he showed me was a 70 red hemi charger.

A few years later I heard from --somewhere-- that Ben Snobar bought this guys stuff. :scratchchin:

Do you recall when you saw the Hemi Charger if it had the sunroof added at that time or was that before it was installed?

I wish I could say one way or the other about a sun roof being on the car. I was--at the time overwhelmed with car after car --with engines pulled to be placed on shelves-- and a short tour with an odd guy.
As I recall he was rather young and told me he spent his time and money for years acquiring hemi cars from wherever they were.
When I met him he and his wife? lived in a mobile home in the dense forest. Btw the trans. I bought from him was broken and I never used it.

my buddy ed, knew about this car for over 20 years and said it is not a real sunroof car, nor did it have vins on the body. there was also no fender tag or buildsheet. he said it was most likely a vin swap or they cropped a sunroof into it

I've been hearing rumors that it isn't a real sunroof car, any truth to it?

I have heard from 2 different sources that the sunroof is not original to the car. Again - no documentation has been located for the car.

Not sure if we are all hearing the same rumors, but I have also heard that it is not an original sun roof car.   :Twocents:
