As I have said before, I work with a guy who's daughter is Dale Jr's personal secretary. This is what he told me today. And I will also first say, that he told me that the driver mentioned is NOT set in stone yet and can change before said and done. BUT, I guess next year, Jr is going to start his own cup team and use Childress engines (that is for sure). What may change by then is, right now, he has been talking to Dale Jarret to be the driver for the car. If Jarret does drive for Jr, I guess he will be bringing UPS along with the deal. There is some food for thought.

:iagree: It's funny how at the height of its popularity the NASCAR organization has never been in more danger of imploding.

If they were smart , the big 3 would all get out and leave Nascar to the imports and the new NASCAR mobile.

then somebody else could start up a racing organization that brings "Stock Car" racing back to it's roots (or at least the '60's era on stock bodied cars)

There are vintage racing organizations. Some are into the old modifieds and are building replicars,Ifound it on the net somewhere.I know I'd get in it in a heartbeat if I could get the 68 on the track. :yesnod:

So is Jr leaving DEI? Or is he just starting up his own cup team while still driving for DEI? I know he owns his own Busch teams. There is also big rumors Jarrett might be driving for Toyota next year. I guess that piece of sh!t Michael Waltrip is trying to get DJ over to his team and Toyota is willing to pay him big bucks.
