QuoteJust EW1 74 400 4 speed Rallyes could probably be counted on your fingers and toes. As specific as your criteria is - you have probably narrowed it down to just a couple cars. You get deep enough, every car is 1 of 1.

So which criteria can be accounted for exactly? I've seen color and trans seem to be as far as it can be broken down? Can the reflective v6r stripe be broken down to production numbers?

So getting back to the V21 option... Was that the only black out? Where its cut out around the hood callout? Ive seen different treatments but wasnt sure what was the one i should have.

71s got the black out as a decal at the very top of buldge

72/74s were painted since due covered all the buldge and not just the top, so curvatures could make not to fit correctly a decal. 73/74s were with the cutouts

Maybe they couldn't make a complex decal back then but they sure can now.
I had purchased the hood call out paint template after my hood was painted. My painter advised me the template is designed to lay down the black first and then body colour over the template which is then removed. The concern was blending the body colour to the rest of the car.
He lined me up with a automotive graphics fellow who took the template and used it to make a 3m high quality decal which he then placed over the hood and around the callouts. It turned out amazing.
I would attach a photo but I lost that ability from photobucket. If someone wants me to send it to them via email so they can post it send me a pm with your email.

I have playing with the idea myself on my car, but my car didn't came with it... aside with white roof, white interior, red phasered stripe on a Dark Blue ( B9 ) body.... mmmm I don't thing matches pretty good. I think will look pretty much out of place.

I know 74Magnum got white top and red phasered stripe, but still over black body and interior, so will look like a "Ghost Decal" on it. Won't be out of the scheme.

My car was originally blue interior... still wouldn't look good with it. I loved the blue interior, but there is not Blue parts molded on repro market, just painted. Painted interior parts on a driver car is not a good idea. Friction allways make its job getting worn the paint and floating out the real color.
