Greetings everybody!

I just got back from Afghanistan and BOY am I glad to be back home!  I couldn't wait to see my wife, Monique, and our beautiful daughter, Rhiannon- OMG she's CHANGED sooooo much in the three months that I've been gone! She's grown over an inch and a half, gotten three times the vocabulary, and ten times as much attitude as she had when I last saw her!!!

I was eager to take the Charger out for a spin...she came to life after a three month slumber, on the third try.  Gave her a good bath and polished her up before taking her out to "blow the dust out of the pipes".  I got two offers on her and three thumb ups from gawkers out on the town.

Ahhh, it's so good to be back home  ;)

Oh, and for the record; I flew 37 missions, totalling over 120 combat hours and only got shot at once!

Can you tell us anything on the incoming shot?

Yeah sure- it was AAA fire from an AK-47 (you could see the tracers), around five miles off our two o'clock position.  The direction of fire was going WITH us, not AT us.  I got all excited as I called it out over the intercom- "THERE IT IS! THERE IT IS!".  I thought the other crew members were gonna fall over from laughter as this was my first real honest threat call and the hundredth one for the rest of my crew!

My first "there I was" war story for my daughter some day.  :icon_smile_cool:

Good to be back guys- thanks so much.

Bradley, welcome back!!!  :patriot:

Too bad we didn't get to hook up at BAF but the thought was there!  :icon_smile_big:

I'm PCS to the SOAS this summer so we might get to hook up at H.  Have a good time on your re-integration/redeployment leave...I'm still on my leave but start flying in two weeks!  Take care and enjoy the time off with your family.

Cheers,
Duey
