318 mild street build

I have a 1973 charger with a 318 in it I would like to add a little bit more muscle to it nothing extreme don't want to spend a lot of money give me some ideas. I found a 4 Barrel cast intake manifold on eBay for a small block Dodge and are those good or should I go with aluminum
