While I was building my Daytona Clone I had cut out the rear panels where the quarter glass goes for other reasons. This gave me an unobstructed view of how the rear window regulator operated. I rebuilt it at the same time with new guides. I had intended to replace it with a simpler straight up and down electric regulator but after seeing how this thing moved I realized it was pretty clever the way it did it's job and simple up and down would never work in this space. Here is a video I took of the operation.

Thanks for showing that. :2thumbs:  Good clip.  Ran across this looking for rear qtr assy.  Mine has been out of the car disassembled for so long it was a good refresher.

Wish i had it this easy, when i bought mine the bolt heads holding the window pane were broken off, needless to say i had to drill them out through the inside panel which was a nightmare, but i did like the video, we need more like it haha.

It's even more F'ed up if you remember that there are adjustments to move the glass in or out...   in front and back.

Definitely somebody had some work cut out for them before the days of CAD.
