Help w/Reverse Lights

Hi all, the reverse lights on my 68 do not come on.  New bulbs do not fix.  Is there a connection under the hood or dash that I can check?

If you have a center console there is a reverse lamp switch connected to shifter under the indicator plate, column shift there is a switch on the column close to the firewall, both have a white wire and purple wire if it has factory style wire harness. 69 and later the reverse lamp switch is on the transmission. Hope this helps.

The column switch is activated by a plastic pin (PN# 2883211)  that's well known to snap off.
