Looking for my father's '68

I know this is a long shot but I'm looking for my father's 1968 Charger.  Unfortunately, I only have a few details and no vin#.  B5 Blue, no engine (was a 318), no trans (was a 3 speed) blue interior bench front seat I believe.

Originally titled in the Bronx, NY, then in Toms River, NJ.  We lived in Red Bank, NJ when the township made us get it off the property because it was an "eyesore".  We towed it to my uncles house in Broadheadsville, PA (Poconos).  Even worse, a few months later my Uncle received a letter stating to remove the vehicle from the property.  He junked it but I have no idea which junkyard picked it up.  He doesn't remember either, it was about 20 years ago.

The only photos I have are below, one from the day he bought it and one from the day we towed it to PA.

If anyone in the Poconos that has seen it in a junkyard please let me know, regardless of condition.  I fear it was scrapped for metal but hopefully just stripped for parts and still sits somewhere.  Best case scenario is someone bought it and restored it, I'd love to just see the car again.

Thanks in Advance -
Christian

I thought you lived in "The Land of The Free"!!? I would like to see anyone over here get a car moved off private property just because it was past its best. Even if it was parked on the road...as long as its insured, taxed and safely tested there's nothing anyone can do about it......just as well with some of the nadgery old cars I've owned!!
If at first you don't succeed, skydiving is not for you !!

Agreed.  Unfortunately, it wasn't registered or insured any longer.  Plus, the simple little 1 square mile town of Red Bank, NJ turned into this swank, expensive, NY Stock Exchange worker haven and so they really started cracking down on neighborhood eyesores.  So the rich folk didn't get upset while spending their money.

I tried to have it restored but got a $30k quote just to get it street legal and that was back in the late 90's when I was in my early 20's and couldn't afford that for anything.

Worse part is my mother had a red '68 Charger that when they got divorced he sold to my uncle in the Bronx for $200.  He spray painted it black and sold it a few months later for $500.  I would have loved to have either one of them...

It would be a miracle if that car was not scrapped out years ago.

If it was, talk to CBRestorations. He can sniff out the decomposed remains of any 68 Charger from thousands of miles away.

Wow, I know you already asked but I thought it was funny that your dad's car has hood pins, my junkyard charger had hood pins...  :scratchchin: a coincidence I'm sure, but still neat.
