Hey, be thankful I didn't throw up a link to "Muskrat Love".

IF YOU DO THAT WE'LL ALL THROW UP! :puke:

Always thought to blonde girl was hot.
ABBA turned down an assload of money a few years ago for one reunion concert.

The blonde was very hot & I think that she was the one who didn't want to get back together with the others.

80s.

But back to the 70s. Try to get this one out of your head (and the video that they used it in is hypnotic.)

So im not trying to be the music snob, but I notice that theres a general tendency to like the same type of radio friendly mainstream 70s rock among this group. Must be a generational / geographical thing. Not seeing a lot of the more obscure stuff like UFO, T Rex, New York Dolls, disco (some of it was actually pretty good), punk, and so on.

I get what you're saying - not a snob at all. Didn't know back then where you could get exposure to non-mainstream music except an LP store (especially midwest small town 'merica). Of course I was just a tyke listening to AM radio overplaying ABBA and Kenny Rogers.  But I gather like most, when I hear a 440 rumble my mood is more rock than Celtic Woman (who I dig).

How's this, but maybe not so obscure cuts:

Jerry Mungo - In the summertime

Humble Pie - 30 days in the hole

Ramones - Blitzkrieg Bop

Hudson County - Bim Sala Bim

Lynn Anderson - Rose garden

Admittedly im looking at it from the perspective of someone born in the 80s and who grew up in the era of easily accessible music (be it in the form of mix tapes you got from friends in the 80s-90s or from downloading after that). I mean, that's how I discovered 90% of the music of all genres i listen to. It was one thing to read about, say, Sonic Youth in a guitar magazine in the 90s and hope to get my hands on their music  vs.  reading an article about Coheed and Cambria or the Buzzcocks in 2008 and immediately being able to get their entire catalog online.

In the 70s, the period we're talking about, you pretty much were stuck w whatever they played on the radio, unless you lived in a big city w/ a legit music scene.

BDF, I think Ponch (Reg,TM) was a little confused. Hey Ponch (Reg.TM), I found the Mom to your white dancing kid.
I could dance all night with this babe. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y1EpaboCERg
Growing up in the 70's was awesome.

I think they're onto something. Actually had my wife out to the garage to show her his "White People." Now if we can just find that wall she keeps running into...
