oh wait...its really solid lol, north dakota has pretty decent cars actually. i was told they didnt salt the roads back in these cars hay day. picked up this gem yesterday, the rancher said ill only sell it if you take both chargers. i have to go back and get the other out of his other yard. i did see it and its an ok car. rails are good but needs rear sheet metal, was a minnesota car. the blue one on the other hand is solid, i could just drop and engine in it and have a ratty cruiser. its originally a 383 2bbl, f8 green, floor shift, black interior but was yanked and had a 440 placed in it. the guy drove it daily and raced it. said he ran a 12.80's. i was kinda hoping he would leave the hooker super comp headers in the trunk but he caught it and took them. so in my 3 weeks of working on my buddies mopars i spent twice as much as i made lol. charger parts, farmington swap meat goodies (my buddy won the free hemi raffle) and then i picked up 4 chargers. three 68's and one 69.

if only it was 100ft forward behind the barn doors i could call it a barn find...dammit

I really like these threads. Good job saving that '68, looks very clean.
I'm assuming the car was not visible from the road , or else it would already be gone.

WOW " I picked up 4 chargers. three 68's and one 69."  More pic's of the others please .  :popcrn:

I only have pics of 3 of them, my phone died looking at the last one. One was the red 4 speed ravine find I post, a blue 69 that I'm just going to sell since I got this blue 68 now

Kern Dog

You can store them at my place. I have the room. I can fit 20 or more cars out of view here.

I challenge you to do so you after you bring that blue 68 home.  Just drop any engine in there even if it's a 318. Get it running, road worthy, titled and registered. Then drive it thru the streets of Las Vegas terrorizing the neighborhoods with a loud exhaust.

Nice find Chris.  :2thumbs:

I love that 68.

This is now my p/c desktop wallpaper. Great pic capturing the sun.

I left it sitting at my buddies farm in North Dakota with the other chargers. I'll go back and get them in a few months

If Discover channel followed you around you'd have your own tv show.  It would sure be better than Graveyard Carz.  Another good score!!

cbrestorations

This car would be fun to leave alone and drop in a 5.7 single 76mm turbo in. Make 800hp and look like a bucket

Is that green in the jamb original? The paint almost looks like petty blue..its not 999 code is it?

How's the trunk floor?

ACUDANUT

How do you find these cars ?  :shruggy:   You are one lucky dude.

cbrestorations

Not really, just word of mouth and lucky sometimes. Ude be suprised the stories you will here or whereabouts another car is when hauling a junk ass charger around the country lol. Plus Mopar friends give tips.  I'm headed to rawlings WY now to dig into that buried charger that was jumped in there. I gotta know the vin...

Anyone else find this topic title totally misleading? I've seen cars in a lot worse shape than this.

Trunk isn't all that bad, don't need to replace it. There's just a few pin holes in a few spots
