Be interesting to see what that goes for.....lots I would reckon!

Usual low standard of listing for a quality car. The body work is covered in dust and the photos that are not in shadows to make seeing the paint/dust more difficult are so dark you can barely see anything!!
If at first you don't succeed, skydiving is not for you !!

Lennard

Nice car but that small hood scoop looks dumb.
I wonder why they made holes in the upper radiator support.

If you look they have some holes the same size on both sides of the rad also

I had a car in the past and it looked like swiss cheese because someone had drilled all kinds of holes in the same places as this one
next project 70 Charger FJ5 green

Those supports are already weak from the factory.  Instead of making holes in it, they should have braced it. Specially with a 426 Hemi sitting next to it.

Are the Frame Rails Swiss cheese from rust holes or swiss cheese from more weight saving hole drilling light weighting like the Radiator Core Support?  Just like the old time 60's racers used to do.  LEON.

Charger-Bodie

68 Charger R/t white with black v/t and red tailstripe. 440 4 speed ,black interior
68 383 auto with a/c and power windows. Now 440 4 speed jj1 gold black interior .
My Charger is a hybrid car, it burns gas and rubber............

Bad B-rad

Such a cool car!!!!
Looks great(take that scoop off), and has the cool MR. Norm factor, and Hemi.
Only a four speed could make it any cooler.

If it has all the "weight saving" holes all over, then man, that sucks so bad!!
What one guy did back in the day to go fast, has totally made the buyer of this car's life a bunch more difficult.

I wonder if it even made any noticeable change in the car, before holes and after?

I wonder if the "swiss cheese incident" is why the sale keeps falling through?

I would think that is something you may want to show in the pictures of the car  in the add.Its that type of last minute surprise that pisses people off to find out after they have set up transportation and driven 850 miles to pay for and pick up the car.

Mytur Binsdirti

I believe that this car for sale at American Muscle Car Restorations in RI a few years ago. If so, what's with the new-found coat of dust? Trying to make it out to be a barn find?

I knew I had pic of the "lightening" just couldn't find them

hemi-hampton

Looks like stock seat mounts, should of used the A100 Van seat mounts drilled with big holes like all the 68 Super stock Hemi Cudas & Darts did. And a strap holding cornings plexiglass windows. LEON.

1974dodgecharger

never understood the hole drilling thing for weight savings....seriously 1 inch holes aint gonna save much....I know better ways to save weight.

Jarven

I've never owned anything but a MoPar. Can you say that?

Jarven

You mean restoring it to a more of an original look with all holes closed? I wouldn't touch a thing.

No, I mean drilling the holes...

I've drilled stuff out. Takes time.

A lot of work here....

Especially when you consider that all they did was shave off a couple pounds.

That's what I was thinking, how much does all that drilling REALLY save and what's the trade-off in structural rigidity? I'm assuming they had to leave all the original equipment, back seat, console, etc. in order to stay in a 'stock' class?
