Nice find....but a difficult car to get excited about. Another green survivor...there must be some sort of preservative in that colour paint!
If at first you don't succeed, skydiving is not for you !!

Any idea on what all that green is worth in today's car market? :popcrn: :popcrn: :popcrn:

That unfortunate fact and being a 69 model year....too bad it wasn't a 70, then the "green" would be somewhat palatable until it was refurbished in a desirable color

I think the "preservative" was the sour taste of "being green" and causing buyer's remorse that most green cars were parked early in life, thus causing them to outlast more palatable color choices

Nice to see another classic survive so much time intact. I'm amazed to see so many oil leaks and gunk for being under 80,000 miles. Gasket sealing tech has REALLY improved since then. My 2007 Ram has 286,000 miles on it and the engine has zero leaks. The underside is dusty but no oil, no rust scale either. Now I don't feel so bad when my Charger drips a bit.

I'd say 15k-20k as it sits. Maybe more with a proper detail/tune up/inspection & some wheels.
There using the term"survivor" a bit loosely with this one.

I went to the auction today.  I only live an hour away.  It went for a crazy price of 41,000. :o It was reported by a few people at the auction that the guy died without a will and his estate had to be auctioned.  I am unsure on how a that works out legally.  It sounded like a family member may have bought the car.  I am thinking the family gets the money back and just has to pay the auctioneers percentage.  There were trailers from Texas and Kentucky at the auction to name a few.  It was a very solid car in person.  It fired up and ran smooth.  The auctioneer said it was serviced on a regular basis.

I'm confused, are we looking at two cars or the same. One has hood stripes and one doesn't.

The non stripe car has a cracked grille and black sidewall tires too.

They are 2 different cars, but both are "gorgeous" green ones!

69 OUR/TEA

Let me just say I love the greens on 69 Mopars .Here's another 69 GTX in the mid $30k's . Looks like a real nice car . The car in this thread , while I say is a real nice car , it is weathered ! A fine line to leave it or cosmetically restore it . My orig thoughts were with F8-4life , $15-20k . I can't see someone paying $41k for it , when multiple others way nicer for less .Could be auction games .

lukedukem

The reason it went for 41k is this: my theory is that since a family member bought it he will get some of that money back. Let's say since we know the owner had no will and he had for example, 4 kids. The 41k would be split 4 ways. Therefore the guy who bought it would get 10k back from the purchase, meaning he paid 30k for it. Imagine if it is just him and a sibling. Then he will get 20k back, meaning he only paid 20k for it. You get the idea. I went through the same thing when buying my 69 superbee. The owners brother had to split the money with his sister, their brother didn't have a will either.

This is based off the post that said a family member bought it.
