Linkage Issue

Got the car reassembled and have been driving it, but I am having linkage issues.

440 with all OEM linkage, with edlebrock performer intake.

Good
Will automatically shift through the gears just fine when in Drive.
Will Kick down at the proper points when needed.

Bad
The throttle linkage lever interferes with the shift linkage when I am in first and second.  Won't allow me to press the accelerator pedal fully because the shift linkage is blocking it from traveling further.  With it in first the accelerator will move slightly until it hits the shift linkage.

The gear position doesn't match the console gear position.  They are slightly off.  Example:  I could have it physically in drive, but its still in second.  I have tried adjusting the linkage where park is park, but then I can't shift down into 1st gear.  Or, I can adjust the linkage to get 1st, but then I can't put the car in part.

I have added the Edlebrock Mopar adapter to assist with my previous kick down issue.

See photos, do I have something hooked up incorrectly?  Need help.

Can get more photos if needed.

Adding a photo of the swivel joint.

Im not following how the carb linkage is only affecting wide open travel in 1st and 2nd only? As far as the shift linkage, try adjusting the rods with the shifter and trans in 1st gear

flip linkage rod over (pins up) put linkage rod adjuster facing to the back. make sure you got your shifter in park to adjust the linkage.

I flipped the linkage rod over ( Pins Up), but the slid adjuster can't install into the lever.  It interferes with the transmission housing.  I might have to short of a lever no allowing the slid adjuster to keep clear of the transmission housing.

I think the lever is to short for my application?

can somebody do me a favor, and crawl up under their car and take a photo of the shift lever if they are running a big block tranny with a console shifter?

Not my picture but one I had saved to make sure which way things went

Not sure about your shift linkage but the throttle linkage is wrong........at idle, the rear of the slot in the top rod should be pulled up firmly against the back of the carb throttle pin. In the first pic, yours has a noticeable gap between the pin and the rear of the slot.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

put the adjuster end on shifter linkage & the rod end on the trans lever.  yes your trans lever is wrong for console shifter (to short) but it will work.

I think I have the correct shift lever on order. We will see.
