I'm about to add A/C. Wondering approximately how long this should take. One shop quoted $1400 for kit and 2160 (24 hours) for installation for a total of $3700. Yet I've heard from Vintage and also other sources to budget about $2500.

Is 24 hours too long indicating I need to look for another shop?

24 hrs of labor for $2160.00? That equates to $90.00 hr. That seems steep to me. Am I wrong to think that.  :shruggy: :shruggy:

Sounds high to me.  The $2500 is about what I'd expect.

I would guess it at about 12 hours.. The hardest part will be getting your old system out..

I installed one & after seeing how it all goes in, I can honestly say that the second one will go in easier than the first. But three full 8 hour days....I don't think so. More like a day and a half at best.
