Transmission woes

Hi Guys ! 

I bought a second hand auto / manual Cheetah valvebody p/n 17676 which I now realise someone has modified . The line pressure regulator had 2 springs (one large heavy /one internal small diameter ) wound up to the book value 1 5/16 " clearance from the body . I have the original valvebody that is rotted out with a new blue regulator spring , if I fitted this spring instead with a standard governor what sort of setting would I need on the spring pressure adjuster for street use ?
