Does it matter if I get brass, steel or ?? freeze plugs or all they all about the same?

Science is just observation and hypothesis.  Policy stands in the way.........

Or maybe it protects us. 

I suppose it depends on the specific case.....

you can use either one, if yours is leaking now, it's probably a steel one from the factory.

Brass won't rust through, your call as to what to use

Brass, unless you want to paint them, then go with stainless steel.

Thanks, mine are not leaking, I am going to rebuild the engine and want to replace them.
