Hi, would appreciate some unbiased opinions on these chargers - firstly, hope the links work as computers aren't my strongest point!
I have my heart set on a 68 - 70'charger, ideally something in a darker colour (black, purple or some, thing like the silver one pictured) I really love the 'restomod' type look but have to be a little bit careful in how much it has been modified as I will be importing it to Australia and the rules are fairly strict as to how far the vehicle can be modified - wheels / paint / upgrades to standard engines are fine but once you get into things like being to low, tubbed, caged, engine swaps, suspension upgrades, big brakes etc it can raise alarm bells.
Both the Chargers pictured are pretty well exactly what I want to end up with. With the research I have been doing, all I seem to hear is horror stories of dealers who have done a bodgy 'restoration' job to cover up a pile of junk - not what I want to end up with!
Obviously the cheaper I could get something the better, ideally I didn't want to spend much over 40k $US but could stretch a little further for the right car.
-any advice on these or other cars that you may know of would be much appreciated!
Thanks guys.

I'm pretty sure there are issues with that seller of the silver car.  Others will chime in on that.  It would be nice to have some armrests on the doors, but maybe they were just off in the photos.  They claim that the shocks were replaced as part of the restoration 3,300 miles ago.  The pictures of the shocks would indicate otherwise.

The pictures are not clear on my machine of the purple one, so I can't say much about it or the seller.  I will say that for 50k it should not have missing pieces of the dash.....

Thanks very much RECHRGD - I'm a bit paranoid about ending up with a pile of junk!!

Sorry, but it seems to me that the slicker the presentation, the sleazier the seller.
Why bother with an original trunk mat if you cut a hole in it for a gi-frigging-gantic sub woofer?

The purple car is being carefully misrepresented.

lol, thanks mate! -the stereo certainly wasn't to my tastes!! - that's what I'm afraid of - I'm a sucker for the flashy looking rides and worried I'll end up with a dud!

If you were buying a cheaper project car i could see looking at pics and taking a chance on it. Witht hat saod if your going to spend 40K take a plane trip to see the car before you pay(after receiving pics and video,if it passes that test).

I had a good buddy look over a truck for me and i bought it based on his ok. Lets just say chances are someones idea of nice/good isnt the same as yours, so even having someone look at it for you still sketchy unless its a professional.

Thanks charger fan - yep, great idea - I'm actually looking at dong a short trip over there in a could of months. Going to try and time it to tie in with a car show or two at the same time.
