What Is This Bracket?

Ok yes, this is a very basic question, but I was wondering what the bracket on this 70 Charger transmission tunnel shown in this picture is for.  I would have assumed it was for a console, but the car has a steering column shifter and I am not aware of a console that does not include the shifter.  Maybe for an optional fold down armrest or something?

Thanks CNCGuy - that was fast!  I'm new to B-Body's.  I assume, then, that the car would have had bucket seats, and the buddy seat was a small seat between them with a back that folds down as an armrest when not in use?

Me too.  After a little looking, I found a decent one for about 75 bucks.  Right now, I have a bench seat in my '70 Satty convertible.  My plan is to find Sebring Convertible bucket seats for the front (they have the integrated shoulder belt) with a buddy seat in between...because the monster pistol grip is just too cool to hide under a console.
