69 RT W1 with blue

Pretty interesting car. I like it if it is what I think I see....  Cannot recall seeing another white 69 Charger with blue interior off hand (ever).  And it appears to be a RT 4spd too, but apparently no fender tag and no build sheet.

Pretty funny that I had a W1/C6D 4-speed R/T registered back in 2008....it was an ebay ad for the fender tag & broadcast sheet ONLY from a supposedly "junked" car back in 1975 out of Iowa....

I have been to that farm and seen this car in person last year before the new owner is trying to sell it. It is a real r/t 4 speed. The car is much worse than the seller is describing and he has positioned camera angles doing so making it look better. It is ROUGH...seller did describe the rear window area is the worst part and that is very true, I see he lacked to put a rear window area pic in the ad. There is a fender tag on it...it just happens to be only whats left of it under the screws holding it. Also the seller says it appears to have the 18 spline hemi trans in it...that is also false. The farmer who has it specifically said it's just a 23 spline in the car but if I bought it he would throw in a 18 with the car.  Previous owner wanted 13500 for the car and I walked away. The new owner is buddies with the farmer sonim sure he got a better deal and now flipping it.

 not sure if i'm imaging it    what CBR said & the ebay pictures ! had a flash back sure there was a video on youtube  of a junk yard with a lot of mopars & chargers  , showing  a 69 charger that looked like that , just had a quick look  nothing as  yet  think it was pretty recent last year or two , not sure if it was one of Chris  CBR's Videos or another guy/s .........

Well that is disappointing... that gives other Charger Jason's like me a bad rap (I am not that guy).  Flippers are hard to stay away from these days..

I have no issues selling to people who are going to flip them. It's when they make up stories and don't do what they say they will.

I bought a car from a guy who is a flipper. He tells everyone, when he buys a car, that it's the car of his dreams and he's going to take good care of it. He's bought and resold dozens of six-pack and wing cars over the last few years telling everyone the same story. Eventually it will catch up to him. Like the post above...I don't care if you like to flip cars, just don't lie about your intentions especially to a seller who has maybe owned the car for 20-30 years and they're looking for a good steward for their pride and joy.

For the flipper's defense, they lie and tell seller what they want to hear. This ensures that he (the flipper) gets to buy the car if his story is good enough. He can't take a chance in telling the truth unless he knows the seller doesn't care what he does with their car. IMO no harm in doing that because of these sensitive sellers.

So seller if you get your satisfied asking price why do you care what happens to the car? Are you going to follow up on it? What if the buyer lives 1000 miles away from you and shows up with cash and a trailer. You'll most likely NEVER see your car again. And if you wanted to see your car again then DON'T sell it. If the cash is for emergency funds, well then that's life I guess.

Did you read the part where I said that I did not care if I sold to a flipper? I really don't care where the car goes. The way I see it, the flipper is another transporter of the car to its final destination,and that it to whom ever does something with it. Telling wild stories to get cars is not OK in my book. Im not talking about little white lies here....

The disconnect for me is the big world of business is money at the end of the conversation.  I am not offended flippers exist.  It is the way it is and open trading in USA.  I do really enjoy these cars.  A true hobby and nearly do not care what they are worth (really).  I have had them sense they were less then $1000 for nice car.  They have become so expensive for hobbyists that I really rather see other good owners either get the better price or good deal, so it is easier for the real enthusiast to afford/restore.  On selling end, which have seldom done (LOL), I am lucky  and realize that so I do not have to sell, but do really want to find a good home for a car I am selling.  Perhaps like puppy?

So the tag remains where there, but fully rotted away it sounds like?

And yes, Vegascharger, you did say if the seller is getting  his money what does he care but I think its in their head that this is happening.  It's only a theory on my part though.

Think that's pretty much spot on. You're more generous when you think you're helping someone fulfil his lifelong dream. If he gives you all that sentimental crap and gets a better price because of that (maybe you've been there and know how it feels to chase your dream car on a certain budget) but then flips it right away is an absolute dick move. You might say he's just smart, I'd say he's got no integrity and principles. Same category as athletes being "smart" feigning injury to get the opposing player sent off.

Agree, I cringe when the term "Good home" is used. I painted my 70 white as a protector coat and have a B5 Blue interior. Lots of complements, stays cooler in the Fl. sun to the point I'm good just leaving it white. (The kids can paint it when they inherit it.)
