I don't know man, that car looks pretty darn nice to me.  Your picture makes it look even better. I appreciate the warning, but whats wrong with the car?  I mean, I can see from the pics that it needs a little detailing under the hood and on the stearing wheel, but other then that, thats a good looking ride.  Maybe its not a show car, but it doesnt look like it would take much to make it one.  Love the color choice.

I think you are looking to stir the pot for nothing.  Nobody would look at that add or description and come away thinking that it's a show car.

That should say to any person of any intelligence that this is no show car.

Unless the thing is a total bondo/rust bucket with a smoking motor, then his description does not seem misleading to me.

I don't see this auction as any more embelishing than most others.  Certianly not in hlpag territory.

And while those are not the best pics, you can easily tell that it's not a show car.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with warning potential buyers that a car condition is embelished.
Do you really believe there is absolutlely No Bondo in the car, not even a teaspoon full ?  Some folks would....

Personally , I think DodgeChargerNeeded is doing members + potential buyers a service !

Why would you not want the previous owners opinion on the car ?
They already sold it, and made or lost money.  The current seller has the motive to lie, not previous seller.

the thing is full of bondo and patches(he had it painted 3-4 years ago(fresh paint), the vinyl top is original and was just in good shape("new" item), the wheels and tires are almost 6 years now(another "new" item).. etc.. i even asked the guy when and where he got it painted.. he said it was done locally and he could get the paint code.. he has no idea i know about the car.. he completely lied about it..look in the questions section... also just for a note.. the frame is very scaly in the back, AND there is a baseball size hole on the passenge floorboard.. this guy says the floors are perfect, and the only rust is surface rust in the trunk.. still seem like his ad is not misleading?

Ok, professor, I left my mind reading machine at work.  How the hell would I know all of this damning info on the car?  certianly not from the original post. you posted all of that after me, and then kill me for not knowing it. 

he comes on here, calls the guy a liar, and leaves it at that.  maybe when he came on here and slandered the seller in public, he should have included all of the info that you did.  Just looked like a pretty nice charger with average photos and description.  I apologize for not being able to read your mind to know that.

oh, yeah, I would also never drive my "ass" to new mexico to find out all of that info.  Only a complete retard would drop 20k on an ebay car sight unseen.

If I am spending that kind of coin, I will check it out myself first or hire someone to do it, which, by the way, the seller encouraged.

89MOPAR is the only one who understands, and i expected that. he is one of the coolest guys ever.. i didn't even know him and he went and drove 60 miles to go check on a car for me that was on ebay just to make sure it was nice enough for me to purchase.. i am forever indebted to him for that

Well all I can say is the paint job is 2+ years old and I had it done myself. I put the wheels and tires on it about 4 years ago. The wheels were new at the time but the tires were a few years old. Yes he could have put new tires on it but I highly doubt it. They still had good tread but far from new. The vinyl top was redyed black when the car was painted and still in good condition so that is most likely not new. I can see that he put new seat covers and carpet in the car. Yes the frame was getting scaly in the back and there was a baseball size hole in the passenger floor board. I will say that the car has a good share of bondo in the rear quarters/valance area. I was just trying to help some people out of getting a car that was not accurately described. But if you don't want to listen to my opinion good luck with your bidding. Hope your happy with it. I'm not saying its a pile of crap, it would make a good driver but the way his ad is written it will bring $20,000 and someone will be disappointed.

then just say that in your original post.  all you did was call the guy a liar.  You did not mention one specific thing wrong with the car.  Just post the above details in the first place to back up what you say, that's all you had to do.

all I am trying to get across is that you posted here saying that your old car,  that you described as a nice driver,  is being resold by someone who is pulling a HlPAG on an unsuspecting bidder.  I thought you were overeacting because the ebay ad I saw did not describe a car that was that much better than what you said it was.

I got ripped by two other members because I dared not know that the floor had holes in it, quarters full of bondo, etc..etc.. How the hell could I have known that?   

and I mentioned that I looked at and photographed a car for another member because a someone in this thread  implied that I could not understand the fact that you were looking out for the other members like the guy who had looked at and photographed a car for him.  I was trying to illustrate that I was capable of appreciating what you were trying to do because I have gone out and done things for members here. 

I have no ill will towards you at all, otherwise I would have not have  emailed the pictures of my wheels to you.  I would help anyone here on this site, whether it's to photograph a car, tow a car, drop a motor in, whatever..... In the beginning, since there was no info provided, It did seem that you were overeacting to that ebay add because it looked like the car was prety nice.  and not just to me, but 2 other members thought the car was pretty nice. 

Hey,  now that I know, yes you were right, they guy is pushing the limits of normal car sales embellishment.  Nobody could have known that based on your first post.  I do appreciate what you did, hopefully nobody gets screwed on that deal.

well actually DKN, that's not my car.. i am very good friends with dodgechargerneeded.. and have known of that car for about 5 years now.. so i was just "coming to his rescue" or defense.. if you will. that's all. i just wanted to clear the record on why the guy was lying.. that's all
