73 wiper question

The wipers, on my 73, haven't worked since last year.  I finally got around to checking it out and found the linkage, that attaches to the motor shaft, was hanging loose.  On the shaft, was what looks like a rubber bushing.  See picture.  What actually keeps this arm on and what was the rubber part, that I found?
Where might I find the parts, to get them working, again?

Thanks,
Crazy

napa, autozone, they have what you need in the "help" section. those bushings are real common. if they can't find them, just tell them that it is for an 89 5'th ave.

Thanks for the info.
What actually holds the linkage on the shaft?

Those things are a pain.  Its been years but I still remember having to replace one on my 1st 73...  It was the one you cant get to, I think I ended up having to pull the hood off and lay on top of the cowl and still barely had enough arm length to reach up in there.  Even then it was a challenge.  Looks like yours is a little easier than the one I did.

I have to say that looks incorrect to me... if that's the wiper motor shaft, it looks you have incorrect main linkage and also missed wiper motor crank and assembly

Looks like I'm missing this part.  Anyone know where I might get one? I know the two junkyards, around my area, have long been out of most Mopar stuff.  Will a K-Car part work?  Any other suggestions?
Thanks

your assembly it looks to be an adaptation. Yes you have missed that crank on to wiper motor shaft AND ALSO the parking cam baseplate, parking cam assembly and your main wiper linkage it looks to be different ( not sure ).

be sure that you find the right 2 or 3 speeds one. As far I know Crank link changes between both, just on shaft hole.

Ok I'm checking several pics and it looks beside the missed wiper crank and weird shaft looks, the bushing you have is to not hidden wiper system, is  like 2nd gens and also all A bodies.

here is the hidden wiper system ( lower pic assembly ) and the one you should have with all the parking cam assembly:

And here is the one that looks you have:

not sure if also the main linkage is the righ one.

That's maybe because I have joined by myself every bolt and piece of my car... I don't trust on anybody to make any job on it.

I preffer BROKE A PIECE by myself that pay to somebody to make anything and discover with the days or weeks that was made wrong just because the mechanical would say NO MATTER, WORKS ALSO ON THAT WAY... or use wrong pieces or whatever.

One example... TQ carb... every carb shop telling me CHANGE THAT CARB FOR A HOLLEY OR AVS or AFB WHATEVER CARB THEY SAY. I want to stuck with a TQ, so I ended rebuilding a TQ and even TEACHING to a carb shop "techs" how TQ works and where is the tipical fail and how to fix it if is posible, Because I know frequently is imposible to fix.

Same about keep original as posible the wiring and electrical system. Here everybody changes ignition module and regulator for the PHORD ones and a CHEBBY alt, because they say Mopar alts doesn't works or electronic ignition or whatever. I have prooved that Mopar electronic ignition is almost imposible to destroy as far you have a balanced power on alt, not peaks output ands I have proove how to keep the balanced charging system with stock Mopar parts ( just one Module replaced in 8 years, and that was with a low output alt )

They don't care my car like I do.

About the wiper... I have sat for one complete half day long analizing how did work the parking cam... what position was every piece, specially the inner spring what only works good in JUST ONE POSITION... without anykind of diagram, graphic, guide instructions or new replacement part.
