Now that we have an official name, who is interested in DC.com shirts?

Started by Wakko, August 11, 2005, 02:56:06 AM

Previous topic - Next topic

If price was reasonable and design was agreeable, would you be interested in buying a shirt or two?

Yes
Maybe
No

Wakko

I'm sure many of you are a tad gunshy about a DC.com shirt order, but if enough people are interested, I'd be willing to set it up.  I'm sure ChargerBill could come up with a couple kick ass designs together to vote on.  If there's somebody else more suited to set it up, I'm not offended, just thought that since I'm a porky pig that you guys might feel more comfortable trusting me with your cash.  Depending on number of colors and shirt types (50/50 vs. cotton, long sleeve vs. short, etc) we can find a price, count on $4.00 - $5.00 Priority shipping with confirmation and round it up to the nearest appropriate dollar (if cost is $12, make it $15) and the proceeds can go to Troy for site upkeep.  We can do decals too, but let's get shirt details hammered out first.  After you vote, please explain why if your vote is Maybe or No.

Thoughts?

Maybe we can get a good deal on the shirts Jesse has and just use white-out on the hyphens.  :-\

Wakko, I'd appreciate it if you'd wait on that just a bit.

I  Know a couple of guys that can do anything we might want for cost or a little over.  They have access to tons of computer programs and can do a great job.  They do this for a living and will not disappoint plus they are car guys too.  Let me know what you think.

Isn't this about where the other deal came off the tracks? :popcrn:

Partially. It sure didn't help matters at that point. That's not the reason though.

Count me in for at least three. Any chance we can get Black T-shirts? I personally hate white ones. Black looks much nicer plus it hides my love handles better. :icon_smile_big:

Wakko

I love the black and the grey myself and the jersey style Ts.

Troy, absolutely.  Let me know (PM, email, whatever) what time frame you're thinking about.

I really didn't need to know about Telvis's Love handles.

I would agree Black is much nicer.

Hound, when Troy gives the go ahead for this and if I am the one to do it, I give you my word of honor that you will indeed get what you pay for.  I lost money too so I know how it feels.  This thread isn't designed to complain about the past, just work on the future.  When we get to the point I figure we'll have three types of shirts and we'll see about getting kid's shirts too.  Glad to see there's alot of interest.  :) :yesnod:

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

I am in, just let us know.

I am not trying to bring up the past, so much as making sure it doesn't happen again.

I'd take one.  I'd also like to donate to the site, whenever we get THAT feature set back up.

Black seems to do a better job of hiding man boobs I've noticed. On other people of course.  :-X

Ya ok i just wanted an excuse to say that Wakko's mom was hot :drool5:

Um, I would love some Charger shirts!  I know Russ wouldn't hesitate to buy those.

We've been looking into doing BMX decals up here, but not sure what kind of decals to use ... we're a bit limited on supplies up here.  Can't be using stuff I can buy at OfficeMax, ya' know?  That stuff would fall off the first rain.  Not sure where to get the proper decals to do our print jobs.  (If anyone has a clue, let me know!)

Also, love that Scottie avatar -- Star Trek is my show!  Woo hoo!  If only Chargers could fly.   :P

Let's have Kyron's car on the shirt, lol.   I would buy one, if you can get them big, I vote for black or Navy.  no white

Why would you want anything else?  Just give me a Charger and I'll be happy.

The DC.com shirt idea is on indefinite hold.  When Troy's got the time, he'll set it up, so we'll drop it for now.
