Brake booster question, 68 charger.

  A friend has a 68 Charger with power drum brakes and is doing the front disc conversion using the A- Body spindles. Can you use a brake booster and master cylinder from power drum brakes with the disc brake set up? or do you have to change to power disc master cylinder and booster?

Drums are good for the first pedal, its the second that sucks so you need a dual diaphragm booster.  You will also need to widen the hole in the firewall about a 1/4".  I bought my booster, and conversion kit, from Cass at Dr. Diff - http://www.doctordiff.com/bendix-style-dual-diaphragm-booster.html

I've heard of a few guys using the single booster with discs without issue. I would think you'd at least want a disc drum MC though, for plunger size and fluid capacity, as the discs use more fluid IIRC?

I'll second that with the dual diaphragm booster, like 303 said.  My Charger was power drum.  I did an A body conversion, kept the drum booster - it did not feel right.  I used a factory 68-69 disc Bendix booster for appearance, plus I already had it.
