Sold my 1969 Dodge Charger General Lee and picked this up a few days later....a 1970 Dodge Charger...this will be Charger #16 that I have owned....it has a 318 out of a 1995 Dodge Dakota that is fuel injected....was someone's project and I am looking forward to finishing it!

Is that an original B-5 Blue car?
I have contemplated a color change on my 70. I love the B-5 blue of the new Challengers and Chargers.
The wifes car below.....

Brought this home 2 years ago today.

The charger needs a trunk pan and gas tank installed so that is where I am going to start. I am planning on possibly clear coating the car because I think is looks cool the way it looks. I have already ordered rims and tires for the charger and should have them next week.

A clean fuel system is an excellent idea. My 70 had sat for 12 years before the prior owner bought it. I had to replace the inline filter every couple of weeks. Finally enough crap got through to cause the carburetor to act up. I drained the tank and let it dry out, then banged on it with a rubber mallet. I was planning on just using some sort of coating inside the tank but when I dumped out 5 handfuls of rust chunks, I  just went ahead and bought a new tank and sender. Back in 2001, I didn't know of many places selling 3/8" sending units and paid $160 for mine from Year One. What a rectum rape that place is!
I replaced the fuel line too. Since then, the fuel in the filter always stays clean.
