Looks neat but gives me a knot it in my stomach. All I can think is man would I love to snatch a few pieces of that car before it takes off.....

Aluminum foil tape in place of chrome trim, cardboard/sheetmetal grilles, printed decals for taillights, no dashboard/interior stuff to speak of, etc.  There isn't much left to take beyond the chassis running gear.  The drivetrain gets pulled out & re-used whenever possible.  Some of the bodies have been jumped more than once.

I'm sure that the reason the Police car jumps looked worse was because the show writers wanted the inept Rosco-Enos-Cletus look like they didn't have the skills that Bo and Luke had.
The choice for the Charger was not based on the uni-body design. It was because Dodge and Plymouth were really popular in the south where the showwas supposed to take place.

^75-78 coronets are uni-bodys as well.  When they did jump them you can see the front clips fold up on impact.

There was nothing in this car to restore. Didnt even have a title. They had to build a frame under it to even mount a rear and drivetrain. I think he said 5 gallons of bondo went into this one... lol.

I do not see this bringing big money. . even on E-Bay.  Though I am speculating, the owner probably sees it as his golden ticket.

may be worth something to a diehard DOH fan      .....

I bet all the dealers ....  flippers ....out there    etc are glued to this auction , ready to ad a few extra zeros to their chargers for sale , depending on the out come of this ......
