options for a broken piston skirt ( if I can't get the correct replacement )

I really wish a matching piston ( not the new replacement being made now ), but the options if not find it, what would you choose

I don't have the money to buy a full pistons set

The engine has barelly 8-10K miles since built, maybe less. I just dissasemblied to correct the deck and get it squared and found this, maybe broken by the machine shop

If you can't find a piston to replace it and don't want to spring for a new set of pistons I would probably leave it alone and just debur the broken area, your balance might be a little off (did the engine run smooth and not shake and vibrate?) also alot of chrysler pistons generally have a very tall piston and long skirt so assuming your piston to wall clearance is where it should be I really wouldn't sweat it and reuse the piston if everything checks out, it may have a little rattle when cold or not at all and should be fairly quiet when warmed up.

With being said did the machine shop drop the piston to begin with and if they did did they collapse the skirt when that happened? I would look the piston over very good and do some measuring of the skirts to see how that piston compares to the rest of them and go from there.

Like what was said before, the right way would be to replace them all.

There is alot of rust there. I would be asking alot of questions and not paying for anything.

Better yet did you find where the missing pieces ended up ?

Not in the oil pan when I took the engine to the machine shop, so defintelly it was at machine shop

A KB251 WILL BE A SOLUTION FOR ME... just will need to cut the step, to the KB215 height

If I couldn't find a correct replacement, and I couldn't afford a set of 8, I would buy two of the new version and put them on opposite sides of the motor on the middle two throws, preferably in cyls 4 and 5.
Any slight weight differences between the new and old pistons will be cancelled out buy having them installed on the opposing throws that don't have any counterweights.
