I have a 361 bored .030 over. I need to order head gaskets (probly going with cometic) so I need to know what bore size to go with. Any motorheads wanna help a guy out? I'm an engine novice.  :pity:  :popcrn:

Yea...that's what I was thinking. But they didn't list that size...may have to email them.

just get a stock head gasket from Felpro or some other manufacturer, nobody is going to make "overbore head gaskets".....it's already taken into consideration when they are made

I had trouble with the felpros  on it...so I was gonna go with cometics this time and they list a whole bunch of bore sizes.

If you have a problem with Felpros, you have another problem, its not the gasket.  You do know that the cometics need a extremely fine finish on the block and head surface to seal.  Unless you had them machined for the cometics, they probably wont seal the fluids.

I agree, fix the initial problem first...don't cover it up with a band-aid

Additionally, the gasket bore has to not only be larger than the bore, but it also has to be out beyond the chamber on the heads.

Unless the build is something pretty exotic, I can't imagine why a std fel pro 8519 wouldn't work.
However, there are other brands of normal gaskets that should also work fine.

I should have just said the felpros on it leak. It may have just been an installation issue. I am gonna try retorquing them before I pull them off and see if that works. Right now I'm just gasket shopping. Lots of folks recommended the cometics...but I'm all ears.
