Time to go play:

I don't believe I've ever done this in February before. Global warming is making me a fan. 73 degrees tomorrow. What winter?

Kern Dog

Where are you?
Out here in California, we have been dealing with rain and more rain. We are at 23 inches to date, almost 200% normal YTD.
65 is forecast for mid week here. I have a car to paint and I needed it to warm up!

lloyd3

The Colorado front range normally sucks in February (the mountains are getting pounded at this moment), but this last week has been very mild on the plains.  The more global warming the better (IMHO) and......since my car is essentially an environmental disaster in the making (according to what I've been told by at least one angry Prius driver) I drove it fairly hard today. What fun!

Kern Dog

Maybe the Pot smokers have raised the temperatures there???   :eek2:
Kidding. With our primitive devices, how can we know the heating and cooling cycles of the entire history of this planet??? ::)

lloyd3

Kern Dog: You'll never make it as a "snowflake", first "climate denial" and then insensitivity to pot smokers?  The Sierra Club will strike you from their ranks.

Don't hold back Mr. Kerndog. I find this stuff to be quite amusing!

For Kern Dog,
Sorry for the misspelling of your name last time. Also, are you in So-Cal? I am in northern CA and we have over 60" of rain now. 7" on Tuesday.

lloyd3

Kern Dog: Yet another deplorable, we are legion these days it would seem. Good. Not spending much time at UC Berkeley of late I take it?

polywideblock:  104 degrees F is too-hot for much fun in one of these old girls.  I assume you're in your summer season now?

VegasCharger

You guys probably don't want to hear this but here in Vegas we've been hitting the highs in the mid 70s which is above normal. Should be around 61 for the highs at this time of the year. I don't like it. I mean I love these temps but it means we're going to be paying for it later. Too warm too soon.

I am East of Sacramento, near Folsom Lake. The rain has been a challenge!  I work construction and the rain keeps delaying the project we are starting. This gives me time to make an arrogant ass of myself here instead of on the job with power tools. I may have averted a crisis though between myself and a fellow site member. I get to be a far reaching grammar critic sometimes, much to the chagrin of a few people. There isn't a lot of conflict here, mostly just guys with seriously impressive skills peppered amongst mere mortals such as myself.

Yeah...California isn't just gay men, surfers and the movie industry. We are not all green activists, granola munchers, sandal wearers, tie dye headbanded, koom-bye-ahhh types out here. Some of us dig cars that smoke the tires. Some love the smell of leaded gasoline burned though a NON catalytic converter equipped carbureted V8.

HANDM

Western Wa, here and yesterday there was 4 inches of snow on the ground and snowing, today was heavy rain in the morning, sun in the early afternoon then high winds into early evening.

If I were a newbie around here I would call that severe climate change weater but since I'm not I'll call it what it is, Washington weather and if you don't like it, wait five minutes

It's a very rare day in the middle of summer that we might see 80 (about 27 in proper degrees)....some years we don't see 80 all summer... Lol! And I'm on the South coast.......

It was about 60* here & roads are DRY for a change so I went out looking for 'greenies'. That didn't take long.
Does anyone else like to stomp on it & kick it down a gear at WOT juuuuuust as you're at the Prius' drivers' door when passing?
That always gives me a certain.....je nes sais quoi!
