The horns just decided to start working on their own

Sorta strange..?
I went outside the back of the house with the dogs moments ago. It is a heavy traffic time with the afternoon commute. I heard a faint horn coming from a ways away. I thought there was trouble on the main highway behind the East end of our lot. I got closer to the workshop and the noise was clearer. It turns out the horn in the Charger was blowing away on its own. I tapped the button and it shut off then felt the horns. They were friggin hot! The amp guage showed the battery to be around 8-9 volts after it was an easy 13.5-14.0 volts just on Wednesday!

I'm guessing the horn button was sticky. I haven't driven the car much since November, only backing it out to wash it and hear it run. I don't think I've heard of a horn just start honking on its own.  Kooky.

My horn will do that driving down the road. When I hit bumps it starts honking on its own. I need to pull it apart and see what it is

It happened again about an hour ago. Maybe the old horns are just too AFU to work right? This time I tapped the horn button several times before they stopped.

If at first you don't succeed, skydiving is not for you !!

I had a truck that used to do that on frigid mornings. All was quiet until the sun hit the interior then the horn would switch on and stay on til I pulled on the horn pad.

Mood much improved after reading this.  Thanks.  :2thumbs:
Who in their right mind would say

"The science should not stand in the way of this."?

Science is just observation and hypothesis.  Policy stands in the way.........

Or maybe it protects us.

I suppose it depends on the specific case.....

You could check section 8-66 of your FSM to see, just by some one in a million chance, if there is a troubleshooting procedure for that problem.  :slap:
