I've seen worse pickup conversions; I like it but am also curious about the rear treatment. Most conversions don't have a functional tailgate.

Did anyone else see this one before? I am skeptical of any picture posted online as being real, the door looks strange to me. It has the Mopar B Body vent window frame, but the glass by the C pillar looks off to me. Are the door scallops visible? I just see pin stripes.  Maybe it's just me wishing it was fake to make the nausea go away

I think we have a bit of the Ye Olde Photoshope here. This appears to be a 68-71 El Camino roof and "B" pillar but the vent glass is "B" body. For a scrappy looking horsed together car as depicted I doubt that they builder would have gotten custom side glass to make the transition. The El Camino has a fully framed glass for those years while the Charger is not.

The left-side rear roof pillar/area through the window matches the visible side.  That's not the kind of thing that amateur photoshoppers usually get correct.  The lighting in this pic makes it barely even visible.

The builder probably used chunks of a Chevy Elky to make it.  


As for the side glass, there's no reason why Charger glass couldn't have just been cut.  The portion of glass that remains appears to me like it could still be in the stock shape/curve.  

And why would a photoshopper do that odd thing with the rear bumper?  He could have just left the stock Charger rearend like it was.  That would have looked better & more plausible.

As Mike DC pointed out they went through a lot of trouble to make the other side match in the original pic. On the 500 the passenger side window does not match.

With the tan 69' 500, in a very enlarged photo, I can not see the rear leaf spring in the wheel well directly behind the rear tire.

I have cut down tempered side glass using Blue Arc Zirconium flap discs on a hand held grinder, you need a ton of discs, keeping them fresh after each pass, 1 pass is good for an 1/8- 1/4 inch removal, about 2 ft in length, but trust me you better have a few pcs of glass on hand, as you sometimes find yourself suddenly holding nothing in your hand

Yes, I'll do crazy things for a project, I've worked on customs, kit cars, replicas over the decades and glass is the biggest issue, so you learn to mod the glass or the body openings or both to avoid the custom made glass route, flat glass is no issue to have made, curved is where the money is spent!.... but your looking at days of cutting to take a pie slice out of a Charger door glass to make that El Chargerino possible (and a few side windows!), it would be better to see if the Chevy glass fits, and how much would be needed to alter the vent window angle side of the glass if need be? to minimize the glass cutting, the regulator could be done using either the Chevy piece and adapting it to the Charger door or modding the Charger piece to fit the Chevy glass, or combining/merging the sheetmetal innards of the Chevy and Charger door together
