A couple years ago I won an eBay auction for a 69 charger rt for just under 5k. Such a deal I couldn't believe it. Minutes after the auction ended I got a email from the seller saying he's not selling the car for so little and didn't know about reserve prices. Long story short I gave up on the car but was still kinda pissed cause I won the auction fair and square.

Someone could have made an offer offline so he didn't have to pay fees to ebay. A shame I didn't see this earlier I would love to make a drag car out of that rusted hulk.

On the whole EBAY does work, but some are just using it for cheap advertising then 'pull the plug'...
I bought a stunning 65 Dart GT about ten years back, the guy was gutted I was the only biddder?
Started with a low reserve and got caught out bigtime!
He was a true Gentleman and sold me the Dart as per Ebay rules.
It won a top-ten trophy at the UK Nats and I was going to send the guy the trophy, but he declined?
Think he was too bitter to drink Champagne from the 'poisoned chalice' of Ebay failure???
In the end I sold her cheap to a Mopar VIRGIN, 'easy come, easy go'.

I'm already outta favour with the UK Mopar Muscle Ass'es after I said I was putting a date coded Hemi in my C500.
Just imagine what would happen if I cloned her into a Daytona...  It would start a RIOT at the UK Nats!

Think its still open to NON members??? Who cares anyways, its my car and I will do what I want with her!
