I was dombdfounded! I mean it's supposed to be an AVS copy isn't it? It's Identical to the 600 I just took off? Nope they made it just a Bit bigger, enough my air cleaner base will not fit  :brickwall: :brickwall: :brickwall: :brickwall:

That doesn't sound right. I've had both a 750 and 600 and they are identical. What kind of 750 is this?
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

"Will not fit" how? Too tall? Hole too small?

Both the AVS and any newer Edelbrock have the 5 1/8" neck...earlier AFB's had the 4 7/32" neck.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

Sorry for the delay guys. The pad for the air cleaner is about 1/8 inch larger in circumference on the 750 than the 600 I bought in 2003. Best guess is after 2003 they sent them to China and they got it just a bit wrong. My original air cleaners are for lack of a better tern sloppy for the fit area but he Ramcharger base is a tight fit so probably why its never been noticed. a spacer would ordinally work but my torker intake adds about 1/8 in height and the cool carb heat shields add another 1/2 inch...no room to go higher

1/8" in circumference is only .040" in diameter, probably not an issue with aftermarket air cleaners.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

Since this thread popped back to the top.. I have to say, I had to pry my Ramcharger carb rim edge back out to be tight on my Holley 750 the other day. It was like an old hooker that needed polygrip!  :yesnod:

For that bit of oversize I can't see it taking much "massage" to fit the carb.

can you swap tops of the carb.
Yup that's what I did. I sent both carbs back to the carb place in Jacksonville that I got the 750 from and they swapped the tops over...fits fine now :-)
