Must be a flipper cause his daughter said it was sold. And I don't remember him having that many cars but maybe he did.

If the daughter sees this post, I would just like to add a little constructive criticism.

The ebay listing is very lacking.  May I suggest adding MANY more pictures both inside and out, from as many angles as possible (right now I wouldn't know if this car has a front grill).  Clean it up; car looks dusty and the interior is a mess.  Add a pic of the VIN tag, and the fender tag if it has one, as I'm sure knowing it's options will help it's value (such as, did this car come with V21 hood treatment, or was it added).

Not trying to knock the car in anyway in fact I think it's a great car, just trying to help so that you can get the most out of it.

Edit - Unless it's a flipper, then F them, lol

Agreed ....it does not SELL it to me....I would prob just pass that listing by unless it was a colour/ spec I was looking for.

Why the hate for flippers on here? I would consider myself a flipper (we say trader over here).....just three or five a year max. I never held a gun to anyone's head to buy a car cheaper and equally never forced anyone to buy a car I was selling that someone was looking at. So if the seller got his cash and the buyer was happy with the price...where's the problem? Its a tough economy out there and if I want a nice house and good holidays then I need to earn a little extra over my salary for life's luxuries. For me no flipping would probably mean no Charger.....However I've never traded a classic car....but if I saw one for sale at the right price and could see a profit in it...then why not. If you sold your car then saw it for sale a month later with $10k on the price....well more fool you for selling it cheap.....of course he might not sell for anywhere near the asking price. I price my cars to allow for a discount....everyone likes to feel they have a deal!

To the person listing that car....a lot of the cars I've bought cheap were from poor listings like that.......they sold to me because the poor listing quality had not attracted the REAL buyers! At the very minimum clean it. If folks see that the owner has not even bothered to clean it then what else has he been slack on....oil changes?........diff maintenance??

Flippers drive up the cost of the hobby.

Great for those selling, but it sucks for everything else the rest of the time.

If you're holding on to cars for years between 'flips' then you're not really what we are considering a flipper.  Also, I don't consider the guys that add value to a car and then want to sell it to be 'bad flippers', i.e. find a car that has been sitting for years, redo the fuel/brakes/etc., and then sell for a reasonable profit.  Note I said 'reasonable'.  It's mostly the guys that are all in for the profit and that don't really care about the cars that get some of us ticked off.

I don't necessarily mind a flipper, it just seems a little, uh, what's the word, maybe 'volturous', given the circumstances.

I bet the family sold this car to one of warlocks local Mopar friends, thinking it's going to a good home to be part of that collection of other mopars, only to find it now listed on ebay.

Regardless, if it's not warlocks family selling it now, I hope they got a good price for it when they did.

Yes I bought the car from warlocks dad,the car did not run and needed a lot of work,I feel I can not restore the car the way it should be.I do have a lot of cars, selling them to,keeping about 5 selling the rest, flipper no but all of us are guilty of selling cars and making a profit?thanks for the inputs there will be better pics added later,Thank you all for the input

No..it's supply and demand that drive up the cost. I have no magical ability to sell a car for more than market value so I have to buy them for less than market value to earn a coin. I'm sure warlocks family were happy with the deal with the guest posting in this thread or they would have sold to some one else. I typically sell a traded car within six weeks. Just enough time to valet it (most of the cheapest cars that the owners can't sell filthy or smoked in) and fix anything obvious or dangerous.

gts says that he has too many cars, but then buys more cars.
I understand the habit of buying and selling classic cars to make a few bucks. Why lie about why you buy them? I see this written all the time: :Too many projects, this one has to go".
Get some therapy then! Quit buying cars if you already have too many cars. If you are selling the car to make a profit, so what?  You don't have to make up excuses.

MY point, which idiots may never understand, is that using the "too many cars" bullshit when listing a car for sale is a stupid and pointless thing.
If you already have too many cars, why do you keep buying cars?
As far as I care, buy whatever you want. You want 100 cars?  That is cool. Are you spending your own cash? Sounds okay to me.
But.....If you are going to list something for sale, why type in the "too many cars" line? If you really do have too many, you have only yourself to blame. Is anyone just dropping off cars at your place, blocking driveways, jamming in other cars???
I buy and sell cars sometimes too. I see no problem with doing so. I never make up B/S lines to sell my stuff. Why do other guys?

gtss

Every car you guys own was someone's pride and joy,you can sell the car not the memories,I had no idea when I bought the car that it was nicks car, however the car was not given to me,it was available for sale,I bought it and now I want to sell it to by a piece of land,I'm getting tired of the car hobby is that a crime I'm 54 years old I intend to keep some of my cars but to many is to many,if you guys wasn't looking for a good deal why are you trolling ebay at home and work, how many people still have there car after 35 years I do 68 dart 383 4 speed,I'm sure most of you do to,I hardly ever join the forums most people are really decent, but some just judge everyone has the right to there own opinion, none of your cars are for sale but they can be bought, same as a so called flipper for profit,we buy  to fix up sell and buy a better car or parts car, who's the flipper in this hobby we all are in my opinion,

garner7555

I can't understand why people get so mad when people buy something to re-sale it for a profit.   The only reason that makes sense to me is jealousy?   :shruggy:   All my life I have been a "flipper" as you guys call it.  (I call it "business minded")     I don't actively seek antique cars to re-sale, but when I run across them, IF THEY ARE CHEAP ENOUGH, I buy them and then remarket them with 30 or so pictures with a very descriptive ad.  I mainly re-sale newer stuff, Tractors, equipment, ect. (it's easier to sell) but in the past 2 years I have bought and resold one 69 Charger and two Chevelles.   I didn't make a killing on them but I did make a little profit to put back into my 69 Charger resto (that I have owned for 20 years and never tried to sell it).

Come on, Man!  I try to roll right past it but... Poor grammar and run on sentences are annoying to read. It is tolerable when the person is otherwise cool or helpful. I overlook it when the person doesn't lie about stuff or make up stories.
Also, I have no interest in the car. I have my own that I like and enjoy.
Money? Not a problem here. You mention that at 54, you want to sell off some cars to buy a piece of land. That is great....so why did you buy THIS car if you are trying to sell cars? Seriously, did you buy it and have regrets? I have bought cars that turned out to be worse than I expected. Who hasn't ?
Be honest with yourself and others. If you would just admit that you are a guy that loves to buy cars but loses interest in them, that is understandable. If you'd say that you made a few impulsive buys then later regrets them, that makes sense too. To buy a car then only a few weeks later say that you want to sell IT and others to buy some land does not sound like a enthusiast as much as a businessman. That is fine too.

On two occasions in my lifetime I have had too many cars and advertised them as such. The first event was ten years ago when moving from a farm with ample storage for many cars to a residential setting in a subdivision with room for only two cars. I advertised honestly that I had "too many cars". The second occasion was earlier this year when I was trying to purchase a 1969 Dodge Daytona. Since I owned five old cars and my wife requested that I reduce the raw number of vehicles before another was added I advertised and sold two cars honestly as "having too many cars". In neither event was there an attempt at dishonesty, and if someone were to suggest  that without the knowledge of my situation would be a grave and personal insult, thus I believe gtss' response is appropriate and frankly more reserved than the comments deserve.

Mr. gtss I do not know your situation, but I have no problem with your statement or predetermined opinion on your advertising. Good luck selling the car sir. Neither grammar nor spelling is an indication of anything other than grammar or spelling.

Thanks for the offer. I'm not much into fishing though.
Hey... I graduated from high school too! After that I enlisted in the Army. That could have been an interesting career had it not been for a minor hearing problem. I found my place in life though...Been in construction for right about 30 years. No, I'm not an English teacher as you may have guessed. I only have a California public school education and a love for old Mopars. I see that we have that in common, right? With all this bickering, we may have more in common that at first glance.
"Lord Warlock" guy was a frequent poster on this site. He was facing a death sentence with bravery, yet still logged on here to chat about Chargers and other things of interest. He just disappeared and until his daughter popped in to give an update, we didn't know if he was here or gone. As is the case with this hobby, many of the enthusiasts are getting to the age where health problems start to become a reality.
To see someone buy his car it looked like the torch had been passed to a caring enthusiast that may follow through with the project.
You have every right to do as you please.  I'm not in any position to dictate how you live your life. I just find it strange when I see time after time the same old lines used when a car is put up for sale.
Too many projects.
Not enough time.

I rarely ever see anyone write in their ad:
This car is a piece of shit. I was fooled into buying it.
I bought this car THEN learned how expensive they are to restore.
This car has some serious rust problems! PLEASE bail me out of this mess by buying it for MORE than I paid for it!

Again, when someone buys a car and very soon afterwards puts it up for sale, what are we to think? Either you are a buy and sell guy, ( NO problem with that) OR you made a mistake somewhere and are looking to get out. What mistake?
Bought with money that was needed elsewhere?
Buyer has a compulsive addiction to buy, followed by regret and the car is up for sale again.
Wife/Husband got pissed that she/he wasn't consulted.
The car needs work or money far beyond the capabilities of the buyer.
Again, I have no problem with any of these reasons. I doubt many people would. Just be honest about it.

You forgot "God Bless"   :slap:
"Dear God, my prayer for 2024 is a fat bank account and a thin body. Please don't mix these up like you did the last ten years."

That's not only my option, did I spell everything rite, maybe I did to piss you off! If you ever want to go deep sea fishing look me up free trip for you kerny dog,

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

So, is Lennard going to bash anyone else other than me for pointing out grammar issues? Probably not. He has some man crush on me for some reason.
