833 Trans Mfg Date Code Confirmation Needed

My 18 spline A833 trans has a build date of August 12th, 1969, according to the 10,000 day calendar (#PP8832937 0108).  Apparently there were some changes made between '69 and '70 (syncro design for one) and I appear to be right at the cut off date for mine.  My understanding was that July 1st (2,895 on 10,000 day calendar) was the cut-off date but I have also heard end of August '69.  Is there a way I can easily identify which trans I have.  Below is a picture of the gears with partial view of syncros.

The early synchro rings (SR294) had the narrow slot shown on the left.
