I think that part of our licence plate assembly is missing. You know, the licence plate has to swing down in order to put gas in? Part of that assembly seems to be missing.

Anybody have any drawings or designs of that assembly, that are good references of what the whole thing looks like?

Anybody know where we can get one of the assemblies?

swing up, not down

71/72 and 73/74 are a bit diff.

71/72 with the provision for the plate light and bottom bracket being a bit wider

VegasCharger

I have the 73/74 bottom bracket, in fact I have two of them. $25.00 each, free shipping USA lower 48.

Are the photos in the links all there is to these things?

I already have them, but I suspect that they may be hard to get in just right, or maybe from a dif car than a 73 Charger. I couldnt get them to go in.

Is there a special trick to putting them in?

bottom bracket is simply bolt on. bolt and nut underneath the bumper

top bracket is a bity tricky. fits tight and need fasteners attached to the bracket ( U nuts ). Bolts are 1/4" 20 pitch thread everywhere ( 7/16" head )

license plate lamp can be in the middle making it a bit more tight, but doable. I have made it mounted in car

Make sure you get the lower piece back far enough that it is NOT touching the light housing or the housing will eventually break at the corner.
