I am looking at purchasing a 426 Hemi for my charger and this engine is said to be rebuilt but not assembled. Crank and rods are stock reconditioned, but the pistons are new and in one corner they say TRW and in the middle underneath rod they say JE 600-2.

I am trying to figure out if these are the stock 10.25:1 or higher pistons.

Any input is appreciated

I forgot to add I talked to JE on the phone and they said they haven't used TRW castings since the mid 80's and they have no idea which pistons they are.

My suggestion is to use the dome height and compare it to current offerings that are around 10-10.5cr.
If the dome heights are similar, the cr should be similar as well.

Other than that, you'd have to mock it up and do a fill down and see just what the dome volume is.
