Hi

In the last couple of years I was the happy owner of a leak free 727 automatic Transmission. Some days ago I pushed my Charger a couple of yards in my garage, first backwards in N, then forward again. I didn't want to start the engine to move the car for only 10 Yards. From this moment on my tranny leaks from the manual shaft seal and the dipstick tube. Also when I checked the oil in the filler tube, it was way above max, much more than normal.

What can cause this and what can I do? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You are experiencing what is called "converter drain back" after the car sits for some time.....to get the fluid back to normal level, start the car in neutral so trans pump will fill the converter back up.

not sure if there is a "cure" for the drain back problem other than starting the car every week or so and let it run for a while

Mopar Nut

The leaks are easy fixes with the trans in the car, converter drain back is another story.
