I want to help my son restore his 66 Charger.  Mostly it just needs new paint but the air conditioning doesn't work so I'd like to get it working again.  Does anybody restore the heater box?  Are all the other AC parts going to be available?

Check out the Interior Section of this site where Bill Allphin covers the process.  Will give you some ideal of the job if you should want to tackle yourself.  Several people are out there that do this process, but depending upon how far you want to take the process, it is not all that difficult.  Most of the components are available as well.

Looks very nice, but how many millions?
I honestly don't remember. First I also gave him another box because I needed the evaporator for my car.  But he gave me "credit" towards the resto for the spare box as it had all the valves hoses etc on it. Secondly he (and this was important to me as my system had been completely dismantled) marked all the correct colors/hoses and where everything should go. Mine works like a charm now.
Any price I say would really be a guess as I just don't remember. But I took my old one apart, one look at it and said ... "I'm not even going to fool with it", it was a mess.
And you see the result.
