RCEnterprises

Hello Folks,
Just signed up here the other day. While I do not currently own a Charger, I am a huge Mopar fan. My biggest interest in the subject is building fast engines and transmissions. The Engine, Trans, Diff forum is where you will find me. Back in 88 I owned a transmission shop then went to work for Transmission Specialties (the Spragless Converter people), I've worked in QC and Industrial machine shops, the converter and machine shop at trans specialties, Built engines for Pokes performance in Frazer, Pa then opened RC Enterprises after getting involved in the offroad buggy scene here in the rough rocky coal regions of central PA. People were calling them sand rails but I dubbed them Rock Crusher buggies and it stuck so RC enterprise was kind of a natural extension when people started to see how reliable and powerful my engines were. With my nephew we started up RCE and were doing all the machine work including porting, lifter bore bushings, and valve work. We bought heads from a company in Milwaukee who cast the Harley heads. We were buying rough machined castings with nothing but the seats and guide holes machined. We built our own flow bench and finished everything to my specs. We built up to 2332cc stroker 13:1 engines with as much as 240hp N/A and cosworth style ports That would drive all day on 92 octane. I'm a Weber expert (not that it matters here) as well as Holleys.
Also worked in R&D for a fan and heater company where I filed for and received 5 or 6 patents for mecahnical and airflow inventions. The thin tower fan market was made possible by my work (check out Lasko Products in the fan and heater aisle at Walmart)

Every thing I touch is to the Nth degree of detail and I've NEVER had an engine failure other than 1 broken valve spring. Built somewhere over 250 engines....not a bad record. Been building Engines, trans and diffs since the early 80's and that is my field of expertise.

Just to note....My 1st car in 1978 was a 70 Superbee six Barrel, automatic, Dana 3.54. Then a 69 Charger R/T followed by a 68 AMX with 440 six pack shoveled in and finally a 71 Scamp with a 360 (12.69@108, 1.86 60ft with 3.23 posi, 225 BS street radials using 1st and second gear only....thru the lights in 2nd @6300RPM).
Just purchased a 67 Coronet 440 one owner car with no engine or trans from the orig. owners son (owner deceased) who is providing a running 440, 727 and 8 3/4 3.23 posi (742 casting) all for $1600. looking forward to having that torque again. The car is perfectly straight with the usual rear lower quarter rust. 1st job....suspension, brakes and check the gas tank. Then go thru the trans and drop it in with the engine. after paint and interior the engine will get my usual attention.

I will just say this....I'm not here to sell any products, services or even knowledge...just to commune with and help my fellow Mopar fanatics and hopefully I'll learn a couple things along the way.
Great to be here and look forward to some great tech topics.
