Nice.  The 2nd gen Charger looks like it was chisled out of a block of steel or something, and yet at the same time it has such great curves.

What are those pictures from??

Ghoste

They're from the dealer's brochure.

Obviously a wee bit overaccentuated but it gets the point across.

No.  At least I'm pretty sure no.  I have a modest collection of advertising and none of it hints to that but everytime I think I've seen it all, 6Pk comes on here with some new scarce piece.  I'm very certain the answer is no though.

70 Charger brochure I see.  :2thumbs:

those particular illustrations were done by the guy (whos name i don't remember) who did the Ads and illustrations for Pontiac, there was an article in "Collectors Automobile" more then a yr ago.. he did the cars themselves and another guy did the backgrounds in the "wide-track" ads.

He somewhat exagerated ther lines as was the style at the time...

There is a guy nearby with a 1968 Charger with reproduction quarters. I don't know who made them (no marker recesses or holes at all), but they have a super crisp body line like that. Looks like you can get cut on it!

Thanks Don, I have never seen that picture before.

I have over 500 car magazines from the 60's and hadn't noticed the Charger pitched that way...shame as I love that goofy look the toons were given. Also I have a book that has reprinted adds in it called muscle car adds..or something like that.

That was a poster Chris (Burntrt) picked up and shared with the 70 guys. Not sure it's legit PR tuff though. Just like the poster.
