Booster to master cylinder - o-ring???

This is the new master cylinder for my 68.  I can't shake the feeling that the machined groove where it fits in to the booster should have an o-ring in it but it came without one (it was a booster and master cylinder kit).  Pictures of many other examples on the web don't show an o-ring either.  Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Dan

Look up "master cylinder boot"......... You will see what that groove is intended for.  Should not be needed in your case since you are connecting to a booster.

Awesome, thanks MSRacing89, that makes perfect sense.
