Hi Guys
I spotted this Plymouth Belvedere today. I don't know anything about these except that I believe it to be a 68 or 69 because of the grille compared to  the pictures I have seen online. It looks like it would be a fun project... I don't know what the value is or even if the owner wants to sell...

Looks like a 69 based on the side marker lights.  I like it.  It's still a 2dr B Body lots of available sheet metal  :2thumbs:

Timmy is right. 2 - door b body. Should be fun. Hit him up. Won't know till you ask.

Same car as a Satellite, RR, or GTX, just doesn't have as many options as the Satellite or GTX.  Looks like a good candidate to make a A12 clone.

Definitely a '69. Looks to be Q5 Turquoise as well too! Wicked colour on those cars! :yesnod:

i honestly thought belvederes were only 4 doors. Ive never actually seen a 2 door in the wild or even at a car show. theyre all Satellites, GTXs or RR's..but no belvederes. Are they rare or did they all just get junked?

I think 1970 was the last 2 door belvedere.  But yes, I have seen plenty 2dr belvedere's.  Great car to clone.

Didn't think of that but Cody is right, could be Q5 for sure. Sweet color.

Does anyone like them? Hmmm, who cares? Do YOU like them? That is what matters. If someone else likes my car, that is cool but not high on my priority list.

hemi-hampton

Looks like a good candidate to fix up if price is right. Go for it.   :2thumbs: LEON.

I remember that car from Cobra, seems like it was a 50 Merc or something.

I bet that old Belvedere would look really tough if it had that kind of treatment to it,even if it didnt have the muscle..

I like them, and I like that particular car in the photo. But I wouldnt try to go back stock OEM on it. No way a Belvedere would resell for what you would have in it for that.

I would say that, that car is a good candidate to be a blank canvass for someones vision of a fun Mopar, and a daily driver machine.

(If it was me, I wouldnt even care if it had a slant six in it. It would still make a great daily driver, cool car, even with a slant six.)

I think I would focus more on looks than performance with this one. And I think the only name badge I would leave on it would simply say, "Plymouth", and let everybody wonder.  :icon_smile_tongue:

It easy becomes a '69 RR clone.  What's not to like?

Nope, all been "restored" into GTX/Road Runners!

I would keep it a Belvedere, it's different.
Most cop cars were Belvederes I think?

So.... I stopped and talked to them today. The owner wasn't there but his "homeboy" (his words not mine) was. It is for sale and the owner wants $15,000.

johnnycharger

Thanks everyone for the great info and feedback!

FIFTEEN thousand dollars for a car that needs everything???
That is a classic case of a delusional, greedy person trying to ride the 68-70 Charger wave. Realistically, that is a $3500 car at best.

My thoughts exactly.

I think 1,500 -2,500 based on the pics  :Twocents:

:smilielol:

The owner probably saw "one just like it but fixed up" on a TV auction sell for $150,000, so he figures hes got a goldmine.

I predict that car will sit there while the owner tries to get the delusional sum for it.

And it will sit. And it will sit. And it will sit.

Eventually, it will probably be sent to a junkyard or impounded by the city (Who will send it to a junkyard), but only after it is too far gone to restore. From there to the crusher.

Its sort of the same story of the guys that wont sell the old car out back because "Im going to fix it up some day".

Weve all seen them.

Same result eventually...junkyard and crusherville.
