This guy reminds me of that Delusional Charger Seller's post. Only he's selling a Motor minus the car for what the car would be worth with the Motor. And he say's Motor needs a Rebuild :shruggy: :slap: What's this motor really worth? :scratchchin: :shruggy:  LEON.

That clown relists that thing every few months. Same pictures, but with an additional layer of dust each time.    ::)

The ad provides the helpful tip

"With this information [ownership history] if you are a builder investor you may be able to put together a numbers matching car by coming up with both the engine and car otherwise"

Should be easy enough to find the original car and then you have matching numbers car.  Seems silly to not buy it and make that numbers matching 70 hemi GTX.

If you could find the needle in a haystick car, match up with the motor, suspect it is not worth the guys asking price for just the motor unless you spent $$$ on a restoration

So for my $115,000 I can buy that .....or FOUR of these ...with change.....Hmmmm ....tough decision!

Its taking all my self control not to email the guy and ask him what the weather is like on his planet. Whats it really worth?....can find much comparable online.....$20K??.....that would be pushing it even at silly UK prices....I'm guessing rather less over there.

That guy is crazy. He's been trying to sell that hemi for at least 4 years that I know of. I first seen it on Facebook. I think that guy lives in Michigan.
i am a fair person and up frount person and try to help if i can. i love my mopars thats. all i ever owned first car was my 69 charger at the age of 15.

1969 charger Daytona clone
1969 charger sadly stolen
1970 charger rt
1972 road runner clone

Challenger340

I am sure someone out there is looking for one of those, but IMO, NOT at that price.

I think that guy may have missed that boat ?
because,
There was a period of time back in the late 80's early 90's before the advent of reproduction Blocks/Parts etc., when HEMI's and "original" pieces like his were commanding huge bucks as being irreplaceable and priceless to a beginning resto/investment crowd ? I heard of some stoopid prices paid for stuff back then.
Just NOT so anymore... even with the pressure on aftermarket Blocks being tight.
Only wimps wear Bowties !

hemi-hampton

Seems like it would only be worth more to 1 person. The guy that still owns the car it came from & wanting to make it #'s matching. To anyone else just another motor. :shruggy: :slap: LEON.

alfaitalia

Curious to know how much a non running hemi like that would be worth in the States!

superbirdtom

what should the engine be worth in the real world?

303 Mopar

1968 Charger - 1970 Cuda - 1969 Sport Satellite Convertible

alfaitalia

Really??....Even needing a rebuild?....seems like a lot to me. Might be worth closer to that if you own the car it came from. I would far rather have the built and stroked one above for less money ...If you are not matching numbers then go for it.....where is the value in that engine?

There is a big demand for '69 stamped blocks, and they don't make them anymore.  Having said that, I would spend my money on a brand new (and better made) block.
