Stealth heads, stock valve covers?

Hi guys,
My engine is 99% done. Final thing to fit the valve covers on the stealth heads, with the Comp Cams Ultra Magnum roller rockers, my engine builder measured these with zero clearance!  :icon_smile_dissapprove: With the goal to keep the engine looking stock (hence using the stealth heads), I'm not interested in fitting aftermarket valve covers... any ideas or suggestions???

I don't know about Mopar valve covers, but I've had sbc covers extended to clear rockers. Take two sets and cut them so that when you weld the top half of one onto the bottom half of the other, you get the extra height you need. It's not "easy" to do, gotta make sure you get very clean cuts to make everything square but it can be done.
Another option is thick gaskets or a spacer and longer bolts. Which would be easier and cheaper.

Ok, thanks for the reply, was hoping for something a little less extreme than cutting up two sets of covers.

Where are these spacers available from? Will investigate the thick gaskets options.

....hey just run it as is......might be a little noisy to start with but with that amount of force and those thins covers....there will soon be enough clearance!!! LOL!
If at first you don't succeed, skydiving is not for you !!

I will have to check, but... "I know a guy" who was building 1/4" aluminum V/cover spacer's for the same problem.

Could buy the basic stamped steel aftermarkets and paint them. They are pretty darn close to stock covers. Or just run them with the engine sticker on them.

Not clear on what you are saying.  Do you know that they hit? Mine don't hit.

Enginer builder has measured them. You are running the same rockers, stealth heads and stock covers?

Same rockers, Eddy heads, and stock valve covers.  0.620" lift cam

Ask, your builder if they'd clear with the baffles removed.
Did this back in the '80s to clear some isky iron rockers with a solid cam.
Only had to have one tear in the cover braised ;)
I like the stock look!

Same rockers, Eddy heads, and stock valve covers.  0.620" lift cam

Was told today the Eddy heads have a raised edge making the valve covers sit taller than the stealths

Then you simply modify the baffle.

What is the distance between the shaft and VC mounting surface?

Just looked at the Stealth and Eddies on line.  Look the same.  Did they tell you what the height difference is?  What is your cam lift.  What gasket did they use and its thickness when they came up with zero clearance?

My cam lift is 0.496, I didnt press him on gasket and thickness or height difference, will talk to him tomorrow.

I use stock covers, eddy heads with PRW rockers in a 1.5 - same design as the pro magnums. I measured it good for just over .600". I use a .525 lift hyd cam.
